Young Carers Project Visit – Tuesday 2 June

We would like to inform you that Villiers High School will be hosting representatives from the Ealing and Hounslow Young Carers Project on Tuesday 2 June 2026 during lunchtime.

The project, delivered by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, provides support for young people aged 8–18 who help care for a family member with a physical illness, disability, mental health need or substance misuse issue.

During their visit, the team will be available to speak informally with students and share information about the support available, including:

  • One-to-one and in-school support
  • Weekly youth groups
  • Holiday activities and trips

The aim of the project is to offer young carers opportunities to relax, meet others in a similar situation, and access additional support where needed.

If you feel your child may benefit from this service, or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

SEND and Inclusion Videos

Ealing SEN has provided a series of short videos in community languages to support parents and carers of children who may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The videos aim to:

  • provide reassurance and help reduce stigma surrounding SEND;
  • offer clear and accessible information about assessment, diagnosis and support processes;
  • signpost families to further support and guidance available for both children and parents.

The resources have currently been translated into four community languages and include subtitles to improve accessibility for a wider range of families. We will also be requesting a Somali version of the resources to further support our school community.

The English-language versions of the videos will be shared in next week’s parent bulletin.

You can access the translated versions here:
