Message from the Headteacher, Mr C Richards:
This week, our year 7 Historians attended a trip to the British museum, the year 9 exams finished, we had school photo day, held our first family forum on Tuesday evening, the year 11 & 13 mock results assemblies and year 11 parents’ evening took place.
Next week looks similarly busy, but do check our key forthcoming dates section for more information. Put 14th December, 5.30pm in your diary for our winter music concert which will be your first opportunity to see a performance in our newly refurbished school theatre. Details about how to get your hands on a ticket can be found below.
Your children will be studying hard right the way up until the end of term (Thursday 21st December: 12.15pm for years 7 – 9 and 12.30pm for years 10 – 13). Please do not take any time off that week because you think that we might have eased up on expectations or levels of work.
Celebrating Year 11’s Mock Success
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students for their strong performance in the recent set of mock assessments. Their dedication, hard work, and industrious approach to their studies has resulted in outstanding outcomes that set a strong foundation for success in the upcoming summer exams.
The mock results afternoon provided students with an opportunity to review their performance, identify areas for further improvement, and celebrate their achievements. Ms. Chughtai and Mr. Barber delivered an insightful assembly to the entire year group, emphasizing the importance of continued focus and effective study strategies. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our staff members for their tireless efforts in administering, setting, and marking the mock papers and to families for encouraging your children to study even when perhaps they don’t really want to!
Their unwavering commitment to success has played a pivotal role in preparing our Year 11 students for academic excellence. As we move closer to the second set of mock exams in the new year, we encourage all of our Year 11 students to maintain their momentum, embrace the challenges ahead, and continue to strive for their full potential. We are confident that their dedication and perseverance will lead to remarkable achievements.

The Big Ambition

The Children’s Commissioner has launched The Big Ambition survey to understand what children want ahead of the next General Election. Please click here to complete the survey or use the QR code in the image above by Friday 19th January, 2024.
It is vital that all children have their voice heard through this survey, as it provides a much-needed opportunity for the children of England to tell political decision makers what is important to them ahead of the General Election. This is a great opportunity to teach children about politics and why it is important for them to use their voice.

Public Health Ealing and NHS North West London
Winter is often a time of particular pressure in the NHS and there are more coughs and sniffles around in the colder months. NHS North West London are running a campaign to raise awareness of the different NHS services that are available, and when it’s the right time to use them. This will help people get the right care when they need it and alleviate pressure on A&E.
