Message from the Headteacher, Mr Richards

Thank you to the families of our year 10 and 11 students who attended the crucial information evenings about key stage 4 and preparation for exam success this week. If you were unable to attend and would like to know more, please get in touch with your child’s Head of Year.

Open evening is taking place next week which is the opportunity for us to meet prospective new students and their families who will join us in year 7. It’s important for us to remain full in each year group to ensure adequate funding for future years and to be able to acquire educational resources, support with trips and enrichment as well as a great many other less exciting things which the running of the school requires on a daily basis. Please do share your positive experiences of the school with other families in the local area who have a child in year 5 and 6.

We will be closing early Thursday 18th September and re-opening a little later on Friday 19th September to support Open evening. Children who are entitled to free school meals may collect their food during extended break (10.30 – 11am) Thursday 18th September. School will be closed from 12.30pm and will reopen at 9.20am for tutor time on Friday morning (with FREE breakfast club from 8.30am). Students need to be through the gate by 9.17am in order to get to their tutor group on time. If they are not, they are considered late.
