Message from the Headteacher, Mr Richards
I was fortunate enough to attend the ‘Harmony in Diversity’ concert put on by Ealing Music Service on Tuesday evening at the Royal Albert Hall. This provided budding young musicians around Ealing the opportunity to perform on one of the most prestigious stages in the UK, if not the world, and make an incredible sound all as one. Highlights for me were the opening Carl Orff classic ‘O fortuna’ and the amazing world premiere of Laura Rossi’s ‘Ada in Ealing’. Southall has a mention too! Michael Rosen, the renowned children’s author, was one of the narrators of the hugely impressive work. Our very own students Ines 13V, Reece 11H, Madhuksa 10V and Dillon 8I were among the number and we are enormously proud of them.
Other exciting moments this week have included our Mathematical structures workshop in school with year 8 and 9 pupils, a trip to the London Dungeons, both the year 8 and P.E. reward trips and, today, our incoming year 7s visited for their Induction day.
Don’t forget that we are closed to students on Monday 30th June (this Monday) for our staff training day. Another important date for your diary next week is Thursday for our Summer concert and Art exhibition. We look forward to sharing our students’ amazing work with you.

🚴♀️Active Travel Week 🚶♀️took place last week with pupils getting on their feet and out of cars and buses by:
- Competing in the steps challenge
- Pedalling in by bike and winning the Golden Bike lock competition
- Taking wonderful photos during their journey to school (Still open – Enter now -see flyer for details in the Eco News Letter on how to win big money voucher prizes)

Celebrating Student Success – Level 2 Careers Fair Attendance
We are delighted to share that 60 Year 9 students proudly represented our school at the Level 2 Careers Fair held on Thursday, 19 June 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Trailfinders, Vallis Way, West Ealing, W13 0DD.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore a range of post-16 pathways, focusing on Level 2 qualifications. They engaged with various external providers, including local colleges, training organisations, and apprenticeship schemes. These encounters offered personalised advice and practical guidance, especially beneficial for students considering alternatives to traditional Level 3 qualifications (A-level equivalents).

Year 8: Rewards Trip to Oxygen Trampoline Park in Acton
On Wednesday, 25th June, a group of Year 8 students enjoyed an exciting trip to Oxygen Trampoline Park in Acton as part of the Year 8 Rewards Programme. This trip was designed to recognise students for their exceptional contributions to school life, including outstanding attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour both in class and around the school.
Students on the trip demonstrated the values of resilience, respect, and a strong commitment to their learning. Their dedication to maintaining excellent standards of behaviour and consistently engaging with their studies serves as an inspiring example for others in the year group.
We congratulate all 60 Year 9 students for their exemplary behaviour, curiosity, and professionalism throughout the event. Their proactive approach to planning their next steps is commendable, and we are incredibly proud of their ambition and engagement.
We look forward to future rewards trips and continuing to recognise the hard work and positive contributions of our Year 8 students. A special thanks also to all parents and carers for their ongoing support.
A huge thank you to the teachers and staff who made the trip possible, including Mr. Ranu, Ms. Maynard, Ms. Trad, Ms. Jasmin, Mr. Sohal, and Mr. Dhami. Their support ensured that the students had a safe and memorable experience.
