Message from the Headteacher, Mr Richards
Welcome back! We hope you all had a good break and that the exam year groups used their time productively. Thank you very much to all the teachers and support staff who arranged for intervention sessions to run over the break.
This week, thirty year 12 students have taken part in the Urban Hack programme. In line with our vision for students to become global citizens and improve the world around them, this programme gives students the skills to creatively solve challenges in their local area. Year 9 R.E. pupils have visited St Paul’s cathedral this week and we have also held a TFL workshop on sexual harassment for our year 10 pupils in school.
Next week, some of our practical GCSE and A level subject exams start along with the Geography GCSE pre-release study day in preparation for paper 3. Year 10 parents evening is also next week on Thursday and we would welcome as many families to this as possible. Please ensure your child makes appointments with their subject teachers.
Year 13 Celebrate Culture & Identity Day
Prior to the end of last term, the year 13 students celebrated Culture and Identity Day. The students looked amazing with their wonderful outfits representing their heritage. This will be their final year altogether completing their academic journey through school. Wishing them all the best for the future!
Science Bulletin Spring Term 2025
It’s been an incredibly busy and exciting Spring term for the Science Department! Students have taken part in both internal and external visits, enriching their understanding of Science beyond the classroom. While Science Week was a tremendous success, the momentum didn’t stop there—students have continued to engage in a wide range of hands-on experiments, trips, and enrichment activities, making this term truly inspiring for all involved!
