Message from the Headteacher, Mr Richards
This week we’ve had trips to the Barbican Hall, the year 7 modern languages spelling bee regional competition, a trip to a Nuclear power station and a visit from Beaconsfield Primary school to the Science department. As well as this, year 11 music students have been recording their ensembles and year 11 have had their mock results assembly.
We wish our year 12s going on Work experience in France next week ‘Bon voyage’ and ‘Bon courage’ and are looking forward to planning next academic year’s set of overseas work experience when they return.
As we head towards the end of term, please remember to keep standards of uniform, work and behaviour high as it makes things a lot easier for all concerned! If you feel you or your child need some extra support to get through the holidays, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s Head of Year for some advice and guidance and have a look at the HAF support available from Ealing Families Directory.
Don’t forget our all important Culture and Identity Evening from 5.30pm on Thursday 3rd April, further details below! Finally Eid Mubarak to those celebrating on Monday.
Culture & Identity Day – Thursday 3rd April, 2025
All students can wear their own clothing to celebrate their culture and identity. They must also still wear their lanyard as identification. Students in inappropriate clothing (for example controversial or political wording/slogans) will be asked to change into spare Villiers uniform.
Tickets are available for this event on Parent Pay. Adult tickets £4; Student ticket £2. Come and join us to celebrate Villiers’ talented musicians, dancers, acting and more. Following the show there is also a meal provided in the school canteen with each ticket. We look forward to seeing you then!
Villiers Theatre buzzing with creative energy!
Recently, our students from Years 7 to 9 were treated to an incredible series of arts workshops delivered by the talented team at Audacity Performing Arts Academy right here in the Villiers Theatre! The energy was infectious as students delved into a range of exciting activities.
The workshops offered a fantastic opportunity for our young performers to explore their creative side. They started with lively acting games and exercises, which were a brilliant way to build confidence and teamwork. Following this, students got their bodies moving with an energetic dance warm-up and learned a short, fun piece of choreography. The sound of music filled the theatre as they then learned a section of a song, showcasing their vocal talents.
Perhaps most excitingly, students had the chance to try out a variety of instruments, including electric bass guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, and flute. It was wonderful to see so many students discovering new passions and talents!
